On Self Care

I took a poll this week to see how many of my friends and followers take time for self care. 

Maybe it shouldn’t be so surprising in 2020, but the result was LOW

Most of us don’t even take 20 minutes a day for self care!

Now, before you say you don’t have time for it, let me share something with you.

Self care is not just exercise. 

Self care can be a lot of things! 

Think…

  • Cooking good food 
  • Taking a hot bath with epsom salts (one of my favorite homeworks to give out)
  • Going for a walk
  • Writing
  • Reading
  • Calling a friend
  • Setting and keeping boundaries

Self care is what you do to make your life better, healthier and more well-rounded. It looks different for everyone, and it can change constantly. Know that the list above is not a full one, it is just a FEW ideas and I urge you to add your own! 

Make your own list. Five things that YOU enjoy doing, that make you feel better, more present and ALIVE.
