A way to stop poisoning your mind.
“I embrace the unknown, because that’s where the magic is. In the field of the unknown I am manifesting everything that my heart desires. I am free and limitless.” ~ Lukas Notes |
Neuroscience continues to prove the power of your words and thoughts. This isn’t just about being spiritual- it involves the reticular activating system. This is a bundle of nerves in our brain that filters out unnecessary information so that the important stuff can get through. For instance, look around the room you’re in for 5 seconds trying to notice everything that is red. Now, without looking around again, how many green things were in the room? Your brain filters what it deems important. When you tell it to look for red, it will look for red and leave out the unnecessary things, like which objects are green. This may sound silly, but your thoughts and words are potent to your brain. Try to notice when you call yourself stupid, forgetful, disgusting or even the terms in todays social groups “I’m dying” or “I’m deceased.” Almost everything has a flip-side that you can pull much more intention from. Instead of saying “I’m sick” you can say “I’m healing.” Instead of saying “that kills me” try saying “I’m living for that.” This doesn’t have to be a big switch. Over time we can just try o be more mindful of what we tell ourselves everyday, what we manifest and pull in through our thoughts and words. This is how we shape our reality. You can choose to either be an ignorant receiver of whatever is dealt to you or help stack the hand that is being dealt. The choice is always yours. Best, Jessica ‘Joy’ Holt |
