I challenge you.

I challenge you.

Try this for a moment-

Think about how you talk to your closest friend. Your best friend, who you love. Do you talk to them in a fun, kind, supportive and loving fashion? You probably have their back, right?

Now, think about how you talk to yourself.

Can you say you speak to yourself in the same way?

My guess is no. We usually don’t.

It is so easy to get down on ourselves. To be overly critical.

Now, I am not saying it’s a bad thing to be critical, but know the difference between constructive criticism and unnecessary criticism. You probably draw a pretty good line with your best friend, so why don’t we do the same for ourselves?

How we think of ourselves and to ourselves can determine a lot for us. The Universe/God/whatever higher power you believe in, is listening and paying attention. That whole “law of attraction” we talked about before? The way you think has massive effects on your life.
So, if you are being unnecessarily negative to yourself, you are attracting negativity.
You don’t think you’re worthy of something/someone? The world will reflect that.

When you bring mindfulness into the mind, watch how things shift and change. Bring compassion into your daily thoughts and watch the world become compassionate around you.

Try even for one day to watch your thoughts, gently and compassionately catching yourself when you turn negative. And bringing the mindfulness to be more positive and loving, just like you are talking to your best friend.

I challenge you to try this, and see how it feels.

Namaste,
Jess
